GX15 about ringing - GSM-Forum

Hi!
I read a lot about this phone GX15. I know that there are a lot of firmwares out there in different languages (see sharp.hacked.in) and many people complained about the sound that the camera makes when taking a picture. Well I have a (other) problem. Ringing. Well it seems to me that nobody complained about the way that this phone is ringing. Mine it rings after 4 short beeps AND it starts ringing ascendently (from low to high). I find this STRANGE. Please ... if anybody can help me, PLEASE post a reply. ThX!

you have to check for hardware failure.try to change buzzer.

Try this firmware.. it will solve your problems:

The sound 3 of the camera shutter was changed for silence, the sound of the video camera shutter was changed for silence too, it sounds high from the first second and it have blue menus, and its not branded..

Still it does not ring HIGH from the start

. I tried the firmware that u posted Neotrino but had no luck

try another soundtone.. try with this i send you attached, but i think that blue firmware (russian) sounds high from the start.. look at the configuration if it have any option to activate sound high from start

I don't think it's a hardware problem. When I go to sounds and hit play on any ringtone, it rings Loud and Clear from the start. STILL, before any call or SMS the phone makes 4 short beeps and then it rings ascendently

. I tried 5 firmwares, NO CHANGE!!! Colud I somehow erase or format the phones internal memory (to reset all the settings)?

i didn't say that this is 100% hardware problem,but always i start to repair every phone with the easy and faster way.
if it is not hardware problem then problem is on diag area and you need special flasher for that(not public yet) .

Thx Platijet! I too think that might be the problem. But, as you said ... there's nothing I can do yet

. I wonder if, SPST could solve this problem ?

I entered the phone's self test mode by remving sim and pressing 0+3+top right+pow buttons. But here I don't know what to do (I want to change the ringing volume). Does anyone know where I could find a manual on this mode. A list of commands would do just fine.
