GX25 Freezing on Start up - GSM-Forum

Hi all,
got a GX25 that Freezes on Start Up and just displays VODAFONE HOW ARE YOU! and goes no further.

Press buttons and it beeps, Displays insert sim on out side screen.

Flashed the phone and still the same.
Connected the handset, for the unlock proceedure, so as to reset the phone, but won't go into the **** mode.

Anyone have any ideas on this problem

I have same trouble now downloading flash files ;-)

Try to flash the phone and i think will go , or try to reset the phone go in test mode and reset phone , i think will work .

I have this prob months ago.
Till now can't solve it.
After changing the cristall , sometimes phone works for litle time ... but in next try ..... phone freeze again ....

If somewone can help ....

does the phone comunicate with SPST??if yes then:

1.connect with SPST and make data backup from another good gx25.

2.connect phone with problem and restore backup data from the goodone.

program will say(a hiden window,thats why watch carefully taskbar) that imei is not the same and if you want to continue.then continue and thats it.

if SPST gives error: "invalid machine" then this means that diag area has been formated and you can't connect it.

did anyone tryed with my flasher???does my flasher gives a error code??

Flashed with all FW - N.G. will try to repair Diags Area ...

Nothing help phone dead !!!

Phone (freezed) flashed with sucess with GX25 flasher ... but ... no result
Still freezing !
I was try with different flash files (ferrari too) .....

Only i'm shure that the problem is in "main" PCB (with keyboard) !

I had one of those too...
I rehot it and i flashed but the problem still existed...
The phone after flashing it the first time was working (for a while) but when i turned it on again had just freezed again on booting.
If i find something i will post results.

you have 2 be shure that all phone is freezing(can make calls etc) and not only the display(happens to me also).
try also:
1.on my flasher select "initialize" on file system area and press "start loading flash"

2.put phone to diag mode(BUT FIRST TRY SOLUTION WITH SPST) format user area and then diag area.

Phone dont respond at COM communication . There is no other way to connect it ?

gx25 work's only with USB cable

But in SPST only COM1/COM2 avaiable , when I try to use other SPST versions COM connection works good but when select USB - program searching for WUIBU KEY :-(
