Re: Sharp GX10i codes

to enter codes needed the original sim-card
probably Vodafone in your case
then go to menu and type codes

GX10i - help unlocking

Hi guys,

Please, please, please help me out

Got a GX10i - and this is currently on Vodaphone.

I have an O2 contract chip, and want to put this into my phone, can you tell me how I do this, and what information I would need to provide for someone to give me the unlock code.... Also if you could tell me how I would get this information from my handset.

Thanks

There is no free solution for GX10i. The only way to unlock the phone at the moment is with the clip.

VODAPHONE

Hi,

Just to let you know, I have just called Vodaphone..... I am so glad that I changed my contract from Voda to O2 2 - 3 years ago, I forgot how crap their customer services actually are.

After being told by the first 2 people, that it was not possible to get the unblock code for this phone, on the 3rd call I was told by someone that there was a £20 charge for this ( which I already knew about )

They said that I currently only had £10.01 credit, and would I like to top up so that the charge could be taken. I authorised the payment, and took my credit up to £25.01 - I then realised that I had not got the IMEI number from my handset, so I had to finish the call, get the IMEI number, and then call them back.

The woman that I spoke to then, after giving her the code, told me that it would take around 3 - 4 weeks to get the code. I didnt really mind, until she then told me that the credit would not be taken off my phone until they had received the code from the manufacturer. I asked her what would happen if when they returned the code, and went to take the £20 from my credit that I did not have it to take. She told me that they would cancel the order, return the code and no contact would be made to me. So Im now left with having to make sure that my credit does not go under £20 for the next 3 - 4 weeks, so that the code can be received, and the charge taken from my balance.

VODA-BLOODY-PHONE

Im so glad that Im not on contract with them anymore. I cant wait for someone to bring out some software, or cable to be able to unblock GX10i's - Voda wont have any monopoly then.

£20

I know - but Vodaphone havent taken this payment from me yet, and if I was to keep my credit under £20 then they cant take the payment.

How can I do it the other way that you have mentioned, Im new to this, and havent unlocked a phone before, so if you could explain to me in stupid terms.....

Thanks
