A800 o2 problem

I have an A800 which works fine with any other sim card but when I put my O2 card in it doesnt work. I used to have it on o2 but had to get a new sim. When I turn it on it just says searching for ages then comes up no signal. Any other sim works fine.

Please can you help.

Thanks
Mark

A800 O2 Signal issues

Mark

You are not alone in this.
I have also come across the same problem.
I suspect it is a hardware issue in the handset, probably the antenna.
Possibly a dodgy batch???

Has anyone else come across this?

If I hear any more I'll let you know.

Regards

Dog

CEIR

Mark

If you reported the handset lost/stolen, it should have been registered on the CEIR (Blacklist).

Once it has been logged on this, it wont work on any uk network.
Sometimes networks mess up and dont pass the info on to the ceir which may be why you can still use it on other networks..

Another thing that will bar you from using a handset on a network is a duplicate IMEI. If a network detects identical IMEI's on its system at the same time, it will barr them both. This info doesn't seem to be passed from network to network so again might be a reason while you can still use it on other networks.

Just change IMEI using PST 3.5

P.S. It is true what phones with same imei not works in same network???
I have many phones with same IMEI, but all of them works good in one network..
