R210 - dispaly contrast problem after unlock - help pls! - GSM-Forum

Hi! Please help me with following problem: I've readed eeprom from phone without desoldering it from phone. I used profesional device with +5V vcc. I didn't write to eeprom any data - only readed. Phone is succesfully unlocked by code but I have problem with contrast. It can't be set by menu in phone. All pixels and icons are continously displaying. In very big angle I can see what is writed on screen. I think it is because I put too high voltage on pcb. Where can I find resistor from power supply of display? Maybe someone had same problem? PLEASE HELP ME IF U CAN !!!

The 5V VCC can't mangle you eeprom.maybe you need rewrite it.

You can do it by code the display its not a big problem

Hello After unlocking some MMI seting need to reset so you just need key in *2767*2878# will clear the LCD contrast problem <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> good luck!

This code for eeprom reset will not help with contrast!!! When you have a problem with contrast in any samsung phone then type: *#9988*523*0# now push up and down arrow till there comes any display or push the green (call button) after this it must work. After that push red button and contrast is set <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> )

try atr 5.3 should do repair, dont do any eprom reading with profesinal device,definate eeprom has done the wonders for display <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

use *#0 instead of *#9988 i mean use *#0523# now use up down n to set the position just press green button

i thing hardware error. u try changing lcd.
