SGH - 800, Not Getting Start....??? - GSM-Forum

Hi All,
please help me with this phone sgh-800
when power on button is pressed, the service light goes on and when we leave it it goes off.
i m not able to flash the phone. but i dont know why
i connected the cable and service light went on, the led in cable also went on.
i used win tdm and loaded the flash files,
i pressed download, but nothing happened.
can anyone tell me whats the damn problem and how can i get my phone repaired....

For first this SGH-800,SGH600 must run the dos version turbo downloader , and it only good to run with IBM computer or some computer with the same UART chip as IBM's. your phone is flash data corrupted that almost can be sure. try to grep working computer then try it again! good luck!

but may i ask you something
can't it be a hardware problem???
i think over heating may be one of the problem
the turbo downloader works fine here in my computer coz it tries to erase flash and after going till 3024bytes, it says flash erase error..... now please tell me what to do... how long shall i keep on half flashing the phone..........
shall i change the flash???

hi all
i would like to explain my problem properly
now please take time to read it

i have sgh 800,
the phone is not getting started.
when power on is pressed, service light gets on,
and when button is released it gets off.
when flashing cable is connected, the service light gets on
but the display remains the same (blank & no backlight).
after connecting flashing cable to phone and computer,
i used turbo downloader..
flashing started..... but only for a while.

the program flashed the phone for 1.2sec and said :-

Transfer Initilisation
Downloading RAM : 3804 bytes. Done < 1.2s>
No Sync, received 0xFD

Error erasing flash
Elapsed time: 1.9s

meanwhile, the display (backlight) turns on and remains on till the cable is removed, along with the service light.

Now, i am not ablt to figure out whats the problem with the damn phone.
Owner of the phone said that due to over charging for about 48hrs+, the phone became dead.
It will be a shame for me if i wont be able to solve this problem.
So please please help me.

I know it may be a hardware problem. But what to do i really dont know.
Please guide me if its a hardware prob.

At me the same problem that you also wrote
Only with SGH600.. 3112 bytes in RAM
Help please 2 telephones require in flash????

So sorry for lately reply! as your decrripted (600 and 800) in that ages you really have to takecare for the flash chip, they are so easy damaged I just assume if your got the good working enviropment

hey...i have a t100 and i have flashed it and i try to turn it on after i have unpluged it but a white screen appears..it also does this when i plug the charger in... please help me cos i dont know much about phones and flashing. thanks tom

can u tell me how to use turbo downloader?
i also have a samsung sgh600 which is dead but when i press the power button it LED blinks only..

but please tell me how to use turbo downloader as it is a DOS based program , and there are 4 files in a flash packege of sgh600 , (file is BIN, OGM, EXE, BAT)
which one to use and how?

u must flash it ... use ust and it will work

in UST PRO there is no option to flash this set , it is an old model , only turbo downloader can flash it,
