sgh-a800: newbie questions: IMEI and T100 cable - GSM-Forum

hi!

i have a few question about it:

i flashed the a800 with the A80XAVK3 flash file; i unlocked it and everything works fine.

i use it for about all afternoon, for example downloading ringtones via easylink and original t100 cable.

i didn't get the charger yet because of i saw that, when the t100 cable was plugged, it seems to recharge the phone.
Is this true?

I ask this because the phone shutted down one hour ago and i can't turn it on...

and, another one question:

i was wondering through the forums and i read this thread, that seems to refer to my problem:

so, 'cause i'm a newbie, why user "Xenko78ù" suggests to use "cracked IMEI writer"? what does this tool do?
