Unlock a800 with cable - GSM-Forum

I've got a t100 cable to unlock a800 but getting software (free) is a problem. Have tried winimei but it offers com2 to com8, not com1, in the port list and when I put cable in either com1 or com2 it says "com1 not connected".

The message I get on the a800 is "network locked, enter password"

Help!!

i had similiar problem and found that i needed to install a driver for the usb cable,that converts it from a usb to a serial port usually comm4
then i changed the port in winimei to comm port 4 and it worked
Therefore i think you will need the driver for your cable if you got a disc with cable you may have it on there or if not try site ucables to search for one

Make sure you dont have anything else using com1 like a printer also make sure com 1 is enabled
