may be it will help you:

OK, finally getting round to doing this... Here goes. Please notify if i forget something...

You need to download two things to make an S308 => S300. This is providing of course, that you have an S300 firmware flashed with S308 firmware (this is likely if you bought your phone from Hong Kong). It will also work if you have an S300 and want to upgrade the firmware to the latest version available.

Goto http://www.gsmsupport.co.uk/FreeSoftware.html

You want two files: the "S300 download program", and the "S30XXWB1" files.

Unzip the S30XXWB1 into the same directory as you unzip the download program (Optiflash).

Run optiflash.exe

Goto options => select profile => select "default"

Goto settings => Generic tab => Specify hardware platform "customer T1, S300".

Flash erase passes should be 1 (you may increase this if the first flash doesn't work, but 1 is usually fine.)
Operation phases should be default.
Differences only should be ticked. Nothing else should be ticked. (If the first flash doesn't work, you may try to untick "differences only", and tick "extended protection")

Next set the COM port you use for the cable. This should be the same as the Easy GPRS settings. Chances are if you have no other serial cable plugged in, it's COM1. Optiflash will give you an error if it doesn't work anyway (when you flash).
Max transfer speed is 115200 by default. This seems to work fine.

Flash and verify tab => file to load or verify => browse for the S30XXWB1.s3 file you downloaded and unzipped. Check this is the correct file. It should be 33.4MB approx. If you downloaded the Russian firmware, it will be a little larger.

There should be two regions that are reserved:
0x00002000 - 0x00003fff (decimal 8192 - 16383)
0x00008000 - 0x0000dfff (decimal 32768 - 5734)

The read tab is unimportant right now. This is only for backing up firmwares, and I am unsure what read ranges to put in. You may try to back up the reserved memory ranges just in case, but i don't think this is useful as long as you have remembered not to flash them in the reserved section we just went through.

Click OK.

Plug in your Samsung cable to both the phone and the PC. Attach to the side of the cable (the little box) the power cable for charging your phone.

Turn your phone off. (Make sure you backed up all through Easy GPRS first). Remove SIM card and battery.

Switch the little box on the cable to D/L (Data is for Easy GPRS, D/L is for firmware)

Press Flash.

Optiflash may or may not ask you to "power on the phone". This does not mean to turn on the phone, but rather that it has not detected the power charger cable plugged into the little black box. This is OK. Wait 5 seconds just in case, and if still no change, simple unplug the cable from the phone and plug it back in. (do this motion swiftly to avoid errors).

Optiflash should then read "loading RAM", blabla... The entire process should take about 19 minutes. You may notice some "differences found" in the log. This is OK.

When flashing is done, there are some codes you need to input.
Put the battery back in but NOT the SIM.
When you get the "insert SIM" (in whatever language it may be) message, input these codes to the phone. For letters, just type the number of the key corresponding ot the letter:

*2767*MEDIA#
*2767*FULL#
*2767*CUST#
*2767*WAP#

*2767*STACKRESET#
#0111*00000000# (this last code does nothing for me, but you may want to try it anyway.)

Each code should show a brief timer, then power cycle the phone (reboot it). Just input one code each reboot...

That should do it. Use *#9999# to find the firmware version. It should read:

Rev S1.6h
S30XXWB1

Hope this helps. If you have problems, best not PM me, cos i never look to see if i have messages. Just reply to this forum or email me [email protected]

PS: I also put up a mirror of the flash files on my website in case something drastic happens to them on the other one. If you want to send me other files or firmware I can put them on this page too.
