Really Need Help With Dead E800 - Maybe Easy? - GSM-Forum

Hi.

Acquired E800 having problems booting and when it did it had real problems with any kind of animation (menu wouldn't show, start-up screen not animated). Managed to connect with data cable and found loads of files and SMS on there. Deleted the lot (thinking phone suffering from lack of available memory). No improvement.

Decided to flash phone, so used serial flash cable and "SGH-E800 Downloader v1.75beta" to download flash file E800XADG1. No improvement.

Decided to make fresh start and erased the phone. DOH! STUPID!

Program screwed up and disconnected from phone. Now I can't power it on so the program can't find the phone, so now I can't reflash the BIN. file to at least get it working again.

Bugger.

Can anyone help? Please? Even some idea as to what i could do?

*2767*3855# = E2P Full Reset

thats all u had to do to reset the fone to get the animations!!

not sure wat uve done to it tho

you must specify witch box are using to flash thre fone ?

Sorted it. The phone switched on again after I'd left it for a bit. Managed to flash it properly. However, discovered original problem was caused by main board flexi ribbon. Replacing that sorted it out (be careful with the black flexi ribbon connector clip - fiddly, weak little buggers).
