Does anyone know if the D500 has EDGE hardware, so if you flash the phone to D500E the hardware will work?

I was wanting to de-brand my mobile and set it to samsung factory settings, so why are the flash files for O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone, etc??

Is there not a Samsung D500 original software, latest release?

Can I backup the sofware that's on the phone with imei and buetooth serial, so if anything goes wrong I can put it back to the way it was?
