Thumbs up Sagem Reader Hex File Really Works !!!!

Thanks to secgsm !!!

I have killed my cloned sagem reader some days ago while i was trying to update it by downloading a .upd file....after that, soft saying "device not found"

After programming the Atmega chip, and updating to V11 with a valid update file, the Device was not only revived, but was updated to V11 !!!!

Now, i can unlock C2 and V65 !!!!!

You know what ? I am HAPPY !!

Really ???? i am wondering how this can occur...

I can't get dead dongle because i can reprogramm it again and again and again...... it only takes few seconds, i have even build a cable to programm it directly !! (you still need to solder a wire to the PCB for XTAL..)

Enjoy !!!!

I did not build the dongle, i have programmed the one i have purchased....

I used a HDD IDE cable to fit in the PCB connector...and soldered a wire to XTAL...

But i confirm that the HEX is working!! i have also erased both main flash and internal eeprom before !!!

Best regards

i can also confirm that re-programming every 4 unlocks or so is working fine with the free hex

if anybody needs a programmer for a dead dongle or just wants one to make their own dongle then have a look at my site www.phantomgsm.com

The dongles aren't very hard to make, but the atmega16 for the dongle might prove to be a but much for some out there lol

Regards

Arrow

To all who asked me how i did programm the sagem reader:

First, i used infinity usb programmer;

Device: ATMEGA 161 (one hundred sixty one), but works fine with the 16L

Fuses: leave the three boxes unchecked;
then: 110 for the rest;

Flash only the chip, no need for programming internal eeprom;

Serial number for this HEX is 18605508

Don't forget to get the 18605508.upd file to use with the appropriate software... i'm using the last V12.1 with X3-2 and X2-G support...

ENJOY !

Look at flash hex inside ATMEGA after update to v11 or v12....very funny bin file
Programing again is not problem, but I think v11 and v12 will not work correctly with this dongle and may be will kill phones sometime...Have not phones to try with v.12.......
