Wow.. 12 ATI GPU supported? where did you get these unique drivers?
neither linux supports more then 8 ATI GPU.
As well curious about how you managed to feed 2750 watts needed by this supercomputer to work

HAHAHAHAHA
You are right sir.....

How could be possible????????

Power requirments:-
6x HD6990(Without OC) - 6000w PSU With 80+ silver,bronze or gold verified.

6x HD6990(With OC) - 7200w PSU with 80+ Gold verified.

I think he really have a supper computer.(In dream only)

And for your kind information at this time no one motherboard support more than 4 graphic cards and If you are using MSI marshal Mobo (8 port pci-e) then I want to inform you that there is also not possible 6x crossfirex technology because each card's occupies one extra slot that mean there you can only use 4 cards then how it possible.

The Powersupply is no prob, bridge pin 14 and 15 on atx connector to get constant power and give the cards power from bridge one.
Whom need crossfire ?
Use VGA Dummys and you can use 4 gpu in windows and 8 gpu in linux.

I think you are crazy without crossfirex technology how could be it possible to run all card at once.
And These card's are 1000w to 1200w(on OC) then how could they get power from bridge.
First read all requierment's on AMD official site then talk with me.

PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard
750W Watt or greater power supply with two 150W 8-pin PCI Express® power connectors recommended (1000W and four 8-pin connectors recommended for AMD CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode. 1200W recommended for optimal performance).
Certified power supplies are recommended. Refer to
AMD Certified Power Supplies for a list of Certified products
Minimum 1GB of system memory
For an AMD CrossFireX™ system, a second AMD Radeon™ HD 6990 Graphics card, an AMD CrossFireX™ Ready motherboard and one AMD CrossFireX™ Bridge Interconnect cable is required

Now I think you are much smarter than AMD and it's workers and you have also made a crack to use 2 or more card's without crossfire and pls start your work of cracking coz AMD is now working on HD6000A series much powerful than HD6000 series.
Now AMD out it's HD6670A cards and in 1 or 2 month AMD also out there powerful card than HD6990.
It is better to use mind for sometimes.

powersupplys can be brighed, cards can be connected via pci-e extender
also on mini pci-e ports and you can put it in any place with it.
crossfire brighes are not needed if you make vga dummy..

only problem is, that win drivers not support more then 4 gpus.

simply as that... it would be possible with more then 4 gpu supported!
