Member: 41076 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 53 | S45(i): Display goes away...(like Nokia) Sometimes display is totaly gone, sometimes it "stands on head". It promal comes if I take the phone into a "handybag". If there is no display I restart the phone and all is ok! Software is ok and LCD too (i tried other LCDs). What is the problem and how can I solve it? I think that is not a new bug, but i haven't anything found |

Member: 21365 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 93 | Maybe? Like other models of Siemens display is controled by CPU and dialog. I think is CPU problem or with some capacitors arond displaycontacts. If display start blink when You tru to make call propobly is Dialog. If even without SIM inside display is going off maybe CPU? Maybe display conector is demaged? Many "maybe"-s ? You, offcorse, have more experionc then me, and I belive You gona fix up that Simense's. Cheers. |

Member: 21365 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 93 | I have time for tests today! And guese what? CPU is the reson for Your problem. Tested on S45 and SL42. I try to do anything to these phones to give me that problem and: 1. First thing I do is rehot CPU and pull hem from PCB before worm up 2. Some of contacts is stay on PCB some on CPU 3. Just put hem back and rehot 4. From my 6-th time he give me display problem like You say 5. Change CPU with new one and voila, everything is working perfect Before that I check on service manual A35, C35, C45 and everything says for display control is on part of CPU. Everything I checked on SL42 to with the same results. For me CPU is Your problem. Cheers. |
