Griffin - Maddest box in this world...

I am going crazy with my Griffin. This is the strangest and the maddest box in this world. What is going with my Griffin box. Never stopped problems with it. Immediately after I have bought it, it has burned many power adapters of mine, at least 3. Only after I connected a 1 A adaptor then he couldn't burn it. After that worked for a month or two, then my PCB problem. I must buy now PCB. Bought PCB, installed the MCU on the new PCB, worked fine for some weeks...
13 september 2003 - after a long wait, finally there came an update for Griffin box. It is now a mortal update for my box. I cannot update my box, nor can I work with the box like I did before. What should I buy next? Griffin never!!! I have spent already more than 500 USD on it and I have earned less than that value. Must decide on whether to buy Twister or Tornado but Griffin never again? No support for it. It is s.h.i.t.

Griffin is great if you know how to use it. Many of flashing problems are caused by bad fia files.

I don't know. By Griffin (Plastic one, bought from Gobi) is great never had ANY Problems. LPT cable is 1m long, upload GUL without problems with that cable, too. Maybe I'm the lucky one, or maybe I just bought the equipment from the right reseller ?
One thing more - I'm using IBM Thinkpad T22 - the best for this businnes.

@Byteforce

Have you tried updating from another computer? There is unfortunally big differences between different computers regarding lpt-ports and how the electrical levels and stability in handling.

Same here, bought the plastic from the infamous GSM-Tech aka Sphere-GSM and it has never let me down. Even burnt some resistors and zenerdiode in it and after changing those it's still going strong. Also got a 1,5m long lpt cable and no problems at all with any updates, including 2.086 and the .gul update.

Where is Griffin Team?

Who wil help me with my box????
Maybe Wray will now appear and help me with my Griffin, hmmmmmm
Impossible to update my box, although it is not clone.
Thanks to all members of this forum for their help, but please don't say to me connect the box directly to the PC without the LPT cable, because I have tried every method, and it is not working, that's why I am saying Griffin is mad box.

Griffin Team wake up!!!!
