Prodigy, ALWAYS NOT DETECTED !!!! - GSM-Forum

I've got a prodigy (OF COURSE ORIGINAL),
But i can't get it working !
Tried Win98,XP , Pentium3,4 , Prodigy 500,533,550 ALWAYS PRODIGY NOT CONNECTED...

What to do?

hi vsh-gsm

have you made sure that your bios setting for your lpt port is set to ECP
also maybe you have a usb power prob, try to use a nokia acp 12x charger to power your prodigy device.

i am in hong kong atm, i will be back in uk on the 26th, will help you more then if you still have a problem

also only install prodigy 533 then install over it 550 since your device is already updated to 1.05 firmware no older soft version will work

Im using 550 (updated from 533), and LPT set to ECP, and tried PS2,USB,Charger !

Still : Prodigy NOT DETECTED !

BTW, check your ICQ for DHL AWB ..

@vsh-gsm,
try to remove your Prodigy and delete prodigy folder in your Program Files restart your computer and reinstall it.....

this prob happen when u upgrage build version from 0.99 to 1.05 directly .
now box damaged .

What is your problem now? is your Prodigy box NOT CONNECTED or can not flash?

Hi,
tell me if you used "Prodigy Diagnostic Utility - ProdDiag.exe v.1.0.0.49" tool
to repair the dongle and if the box was detected by this sw...

Hi,

Attach a Nokia Charger to your dongle first, Read your dongle with ProdDiag.exe v.1.0.0.49 and sent it to my e-mail. Or you can try to repair it with this as well.

Hi, your dongle is dead, and i do not know how it is killed, but 100% not killed by the update. Please check power supply pin.. i think it is broken or whatever.
