Member: 113092 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I could not Flash the Firmware on my Dell 355 Dongle. I edited the Firmware-File as shown here. But if i try to flash it with the Anycom-DFU Wizard, it start the update but stops at konfig of the device with an Error that the Dongle has removed. Using the Dell DFU-Wizard it kkeps telling me that the Firmware file is a false one for this Dongle. Anyone flashed a 355 or any Tips what went wrong ? |

Member: 318445 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | So I was feeling bored and reckless and decided to flash my Dell Truemobile 355 with the Anycom firmware having successfully flashed my Acer device. I used HexWorkshop to change the PID and VID and recalculate the CRC and BTDFUWIzard to flash the device. Everything worked and my Plantronics headset still worked fine but now my internal WiFi adaptor can no longer find my network. If I unplug the BT device the WiFi works fine but if it is plugged in, even disabled, the Wifi won't work. Any ideas? Last edited by damole; 04-21-2007 at 18:20. |

Member: 318445 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Well maybe I typed to soon. The prime reason for wanting to flash my Dell 355 device to the Anycom was because Anycom seem to give better support and I could also use the btwinitialupdate.exe tool to keep my drivers up to date. So I decided to update the drivers and see if that improved things. Well now I have 5.1.03300 which is even more recent than I was expecting and at least I can just stop the BT device and have my WiFi working. Having done some checking it seems the 355 is a class II device and the Anycom is class I, maybe this has something to do with it. |

Member: 501325 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | This is convoluted! I just got the moto S9 stereo headset and found out that my IOGear GBU221 (class 2) barely supports A2DP (very choppy with wmp11). It is sold as bt 2.o+EDR and it uses the same BCM2045. I have firmware version 2.1.39.77 and am currently using the widcomm driver version 5.1.0.1100. I have found several other driver versions since from Anycom, but none from any other vendor. Thanks to all that have posted here. This is the most helpful thread I have found yet! I have lots of things to try now, though I'm not sure I'm competent enough to follow some of the more difficult tasks mentioned above. I will report back in hopes of helping others with "our" beta testing A2DP for these crap vendors. Thanks again, cheers. |
