Do you know what is your chip manufacturer of your bluetooth module?

WIDCOMM only supports Broadcom chips after 5.1. No license patch can disengage this constraint.

On my Acer TM5720 there is a

Code:

Broadcom 2045 Bluetooth 2.0 USB Device
Firmaware: version 2.1.39.73
HCI: 2049
LMP: 4127

The online updater reported that the device is not supported...

But at home I have a USB dongle from Digicom with data as follow:

Code:

Broadcom 2045 Bluetooth 2.0 USB Device
Firmaware: version 2.1.39.77
HCI: 204D
LMP: 4127

...and the OnlineUpdater has downloaded this v5.5.0.7800

The setup on the Acer has correctly upgraded from v5.1.0.4500a but now I cannot use it since it's "not licensed"...

Do I have to remove it?

Deactivate the internal acer BT dongle and plug the digicom dongle. Then try to search for bluetooth devices. Remove the digicom dongle and reactivate the internal Acer dongle. Sometimes it helps.
