hi

on this forum i requested info on updating the firmware on my HWKufs micro box to enable me access to support and latest software , MY POST WAS DELETED

so i ask the owners/makers of saras boxes what is the official proceedure to getting a firmware upgrade if a reseller stops trading ?? because at the moment it seems if your reseller does stop your box becomes worthless ?

i know i am not the only one in this situattion

some answers please

You can install the updates..

hmmm ... just opened it up and noticed a resistor is missing from the hwk chip , please have a look at the attached pic , does any 1 know the value of the resistor missing so i can solder a new one on ? or any 1 have spare resistor ?

i think its 103 but upside down .... i put a new resistor on but is still same and wont update , oh well its one for the bin i think !

Had a look at it with thw microscope and honest been reading E01 lol :-)
anyway on the module were more than 1 in that side with the same value.

If you need and HWK original I can suggest where I bought mine..

update - i put my HWK in my old twister box and tried update and worked 1st time lol and can now access support site ect ... , so maybe a combo of missing resistor and maybe a problem with my ufsHWK micro - ... *** knows .. but i make box out of different boxes lol so i have frankenstein box

sugar lol , got box error 20 now - think is because old firmware in my twister box

, will ufstools update the firmware ?

when you reinstall the suite the firmware in the box will be updated again..
