jar or jad - GSM-Forum

Hello every one,
I see about java games that the most of those are either jad or jar(not talking about sis).But what I don't understand is when do I use the jad file coz most of the cases is not neccesary at all. Can anyone explain me that please?

JAR is the JAVA package itself. And JAD is the description file which some mobiles use when upload JAVA to it. Usually you need to have them both.
