unless you can get software from kenwood called hexterm, or from distributor like basari in turkey a s/w package call gsm service software ( both of which you've got virtually no chance! )there is only 1 other way to unlock it. You need any orange network sim card from the UK, doesn't need to be live, just not pukked and either you know the pin or it is disabled. ( a test sim with the same country code - network code (234-33) will sufice if you have a sim card writer ). The kenwood will then ask for an unlock code. THis is 12345678. Any other info you need email me at [email protected]. I know everything about kenwood phones!!!!!!!! even the code to get to net monitor ( or the equivalent ) on their handets!

it is true em608/618 uses the e2 to store the value for sp lock and it is possible to change this with eth customer Ec11 ( i think ) data cable. . However!!! the em618 is very tempremental. Do not try to alter the flash or reload the handset using the data cable. . This can go hideously wrong, and the phone will not respond to reloading new software, unless a loader program is installed through the jtag ports ( little round gold coloured discs ) on the reverse of the lucent chipset board. Basically, It would take me over an hour to fix this even with all the right kit AND kenwoods support, which no one would get. You have been warned!!!!!
