If you want to read/write SPI eeproms used in Mitsubishi phones just add a zener diode 2v7 between GND and "+5V" to get 2.7 Volts for eeprom. It works fine with me an my celeron 466

Yes it's works.
Do U have some idea for 9386? All bite shift with 00 or FF. I read onle second bite.
I try with ext. power 3V and 5V but it the same.

Hello,
the datasheet of the X25650 (it´s the trium-eeprom) says
that the chip has a supply voltage-range of 2.5 - 5 V.
So I think it is a timing problem, not a voltageproblem.

PonyProg and 95640 problem.

I also had problems with reading 95640.
I tried all what I find in the forums:
-486 PC,
-hundred times checked interface and
connections on IC,
-external battery voltage 5 V
-capacitor between 5 V and ground,
............
............
But I didn't solve problems but

I LOSED ORIGINAL BIN FILE !

Finally I decrease voltage on 2.4 V (because I hadn't 2.7 Zener dode) and now all working perfect.I tried with Pony Prog versions: 1.13e, 1.16g and 1.17c and all give same results.I repeated reading and writing many times and every time all is OK.

Did you dessolder the 95640 from the phone
I'm unable to read it in circuit.
Help.
