and what is happend when you press "Check" button? it can boot the phone?

you can check manual or FAQ if you have, but on your place, first i will be checking cables with the schematic (or just pins from phone connector)... or even try to use your cable + original battery from phone (if that is possible with your cable).

First of all, with the cable I can get the info from the phone. I can rebulid the IMEI, will that mean the cable works fine???
And I can't find the cable schematic for 8850.

Nothing happend, just showed me the error. and reboot the phone.

@flin898,

Are you connecting the phone to Twister box via CFA6 or MRT-2 cable and gender changer?

Can you flash other DCT3 phones? Are DCT4 ok?

Odia.

Hi Odia. The twister works great with my SonyEricsson T610. Haven't try the DCT3 and DCT4 yet. I'll check the cable schematic first.

@major-tom, thx for your help. but there's no sim card in the phone while i did the operation.

just checked with the 8210 cable schematic, the only different to the cable schematic is there's no diode in the cable. The contact on PCB should be fine, because it read the info from the phone, and change IMEI as well. I also have a look on the PCB, I can see the contact points there.

@flin898,

The diode is only required for 5210.

Good you have it working, maybe you disturbe something while checking cable and now its ok.

Odia.

Same with Nokia 5210

Hi...

I have same problem with a 5210. I have mont. diode, and make a cable tjek, it's OK. The only thing Im not sure of, is the connection to phone, but it's seems to be good. The connection to phone is via MRT-2 cable and gender changer. I can read INFO, but if I try CHECK I get this :

1st Boot Err: Bad Resp DCT3
1st Boot Err: Bad Resp UPP, FF FF FF 72
Rebooting Mobile

I have tried a 6150 and it's working fine.

/Henrik

if 6150 works than means twister have no problem with DCT3, so problem is in cable.

Correction: problem is not in the cable...problem is in the "how to **** my coustumer brains Plastic Adaptor" (all credits go to mr. Raskal for this reverse mental terapy idea).

there is sollution for this problem...after i made the necessary modifications i am now able to flash all DCT 3 phones that use the 8850 connector without problems.

sollution can be found in this twister section for the ones interested into it...it is not advertised by mr Rascal because he never likes to admit that he makes mistakes
