D500 keyboard problem - GSM-Forum

Hi can anyone help me with this problem. My D500 phones navigation button will only scroll from side to side. I cannot scroll through the menu up or down. Is it a case of cleaning the phone contacts or is it a hardware failure.

hi friend
had a problem like this before...usually broken tracks on the lcd board...but what i did was replaced the lcd board

Hi, thanks to Ogre, I have found the problem. The tracks on the LCD where the buttons connect to make a circuit had started to come away from the board. I cleaned them up a little bit with a blade and stuck the down again. (Short term solution). Works ok at the moment but I need to know what I can stick them down correctly.
I understand that I cannot use certian type of adhesive because of the acid content could corrode the board. Is there a type of adhesive that is needed?
