You need to do jtag or direct emmc to write boot. Look for this model if medusa or octoplus jtag supported, or do direct emmc if you have atf box. Dont ask about pinouts bcoz I dont have

for me it is a software issue in hand with the EFS folder of the phone and the nvdata.

In my knowledge if it's /01 that's mean software but if it's null/null will be hardware.
