SGH-A800 dead due to bad charger

Hi,

Samsung SGH-A800. Phone was working fine. Someone connect a faulty
samsung charger and try to charge it. From then and on the phone does
not even power on at all. My guess is that some diode (or zener) **** up
if the charger was supplying more than the required voltage. Anyone has
seen this before? Any ideas as to what it can be? The peculiar thing is
that if I put another (fully charged) A800 battery (from another A800
phone) still the phone does not power on.

Change LTC1734, you can buy it only from Linear tech directly from America. But first remove LTC 1734, and fuse nearby replaced if not OK, and try with a fully chargged accu.If doesn't work you have a dead phone, because you burned the processor.

Hello!
just connect it to power supply and set the current about 1.7 2.6 Am and voltage between leg 3 and 5 of the battery 2.6-4V because the chaging capositor was shotcircuted and you phone is short circuted so doing so is to restore the capositor.I have been solving several mobile with the same probleam.
thanks.

Hello

all samsung cell phone using LTRG as a charger IC, the node on pin 2 must be 5.2 and pin 5 must be 4.22 which directly go to the + VBATT , if else, change LTRG.

have fun
