After water damage are broken varistors.

I repaired one x450 /remove varistors from PCB/ and phone is working.

Varistor are placed nearly key pads.

Probably number of varistor for x460 is more /as for x450/ and maybe placed elsewhere on PCB.

See service manual for varistors ....

If it does not work, try mine solution

I tried also to remove those 5 varistors, but no result....
There's 5 more!
Remove all 5 varistors, then all is OK

Question

solved my problem by reflowing the sections marked with a circle after removed the 10 varistors that did not solve my problem. See attachments.

Problem is that like an idiot i did not wait to see results but did 2 places at the same time.

Please someone check me out which is which maybe we get to a definite solution.

That means, you solved your problem without removing the varistors, just reflowing 2 areas?

I think this were the 1st step i think...
If reflowing does not help, then remove the varistors. But be carefull reflowing, samsung has main chips glued, and too hot air may kill the phone totally.

This info goes to them, who has in future such problems :P

@juht

unluckily yes i did remove the varistors first and problem remained. I did not try to reflow first

please anyone try reflowing first before removing varistors till we corner the solution.

thanks
