K608i KEYPAD PROBLEM - GSM-Forum

The keypad of my K608i is not functioning so I dismantle the phone and reconnected the keypad flex connector and the keypad connector on the board. Each time I turn the phone on there will be a different set of keys that will work together- right or left column but not the middle keys. The joystick is working fine. The keys on the left and right side of the joystick also will sometime work and at times wont respond. With the aid of a magnifying glass I saw that some of the feet of the keypad connector on the board are already missing and the rubber stopper (black) is already gone. Can somebody show me the way to get around this problem apart from replacing the foil keypad?
