Question K800i broken sim holder/pin

I was recently given a k800i by a freind who said that they had broken it when they where trying to remove the sim card, (using a screwdriver...!!?). so i was wondering how i would go about repairing it. having never repaired a phone before, i could do with some guidance.

so if any one has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated because other that the sim problem the phone works perfectly, so it would be shame to just throw it away.
