Exclamation Sony Ericsson Water Damage Information (Application)

Most phones have indicators that change color when in contact with
water. This way you can see if a phone has been exposed to moisture,
something electronic equipment like cell phones does not prefer.
In this program you will find images of where these indicators are
located on different Sony Ericsson phones.

Question Phone with pink strip: fixable or not

Thanks for this wonderful application.

Now I found out that the battery and the phone have both the pink indicators. Bad.

So my question is, would using a new battery perhaps resolve the issue.

I can still charge the phone using the damaged battery and the phone can be accessed via setool or other similar tools without any problems and tried reflashing a couple of times. However, when I power up, the phone just gives me this white screen and vibrates then turns off.

Do you think it is just the battery or the phone itself.

Thanks..

It will not help just to change battery.
You need to dismantle your phone and clean it with electric flue cleaner or Technical alcohol and then change the battery.
your phone will never be 100% ok after water damage.

Regards

There are indicators on the phone. These are located on the battery, underneeth the battery and on the inside of the phone.

If you took it a store and they said there is water damage I doubt they are lying to you. You can take it to another shop for a second opinion.

I have had customers come in many times and claimed they did not have water damage when they did. These are some examples that could cause damage and customers might not noticed that it happend:
1) Taking the phone in the bathroom. The condensation in the bathroom with the shower on can cause problems.
2) Having the phone next to a cold glass, this glass can produce a small condensation puddle and can get the phone wet.
3) Believe it or not, childen lie to their parents on what really happened to the phone.
