Strange T100 after water damage HELP!!! - GSM-Forum

Hallo my friends!

I have very big problem!

My SonyEricsson T100 was dropped in water for fiew minutes. After that I oppened the phone and clean it from water. Then I dry it with hair dryer. I put new battery in the phone but the phone works very strange! Sometimes (most of time) can't power on so I put the charger and wait for fiew seconds and then I can turn it on. But when it is turned on he randomly freezes and restarts. Sometimes it works normal for fiew seconds and sometimes minutes and then again freezes and restarts. Please Help me!!! What to do!!!
IS this hardware or software error.

P.C. I've got full schematics and HEX files for TERMINATOR, DIVUsb, TotalTOOL so if flashing is needet I am able to build one of this and flash it. By the way I understand electronics...
AND PLEASE IF ANY ONE HAS SCHEMATICS FOR SonyEricsson T100 PLEASE GIVE ME LINK TO DOWNLOAD THEM.

jeez I just sold one of these for £10 is it really worth repairing?

I know that it is not to expensiv phone but i don't wont to trow it in Bin.
I would like to try to repair it!

I would use switch cleaner or solvent to clean board with a brush, then use warm air solder station to rehot connections, hairdryer wont do much

Hi,
I think water may have entered into the BGA component and eventhough it is dried up now, the short circuit is happening off and on and when the intermitent short circuit happen, your phone freezes. It is hard to tell which component giving this problem but you can start with the biggest BGA. You must use hot air ****er. I believe water have somehow oxidize the connection of the BGA components.

OK. But I can't see the pins of the CPU or some other IC's because they are all in plastic so how can I resolder the pins with Hot AIR Station when I can't see them? And please if someone has schematic from this phone please send it to me! Can anyone tell me where is placed the power amplifier so I can check it if it is damaget or something.

P.C. If there is water in the IC how can I clean it inside?

And where is that Power Amplifier IC placed on the PCB?

Can enyone give me schematics of this T100 phone.
