Unhappy W995 Not Powering On

Hi guys! I've previously posted in the other threads but didn't get a reply. So I'm trying here:

I have a problem with my W995. I took my phone apart (completely) to take a look at the flex ribbon (which was probably damaged because my screen was go hay-wire). After assembling the phone, I could not get the phone to power on. I thought I broke the ribbon completely, but it wasn't. Here's why:

- On charging / connected via USB, the phone behaves normally (no issues)
- When connected via USB (in Mass Media mode) with the phone off, pressing any button results in a pop up message (can't remember what it is, but it is nothing unusual).
- Note that pressing the hang-up/power off key also triggers the same reaction.

Hence, it is unlikely that the ribbon is broken, isn't it? I tried repairing using SE PC Suite but it always fails. It stops like 10 seconds into the "downloading" phase.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
