Had a look on boot-loader and couldn't see any V3im files. Looked at some earlier threads and downloaded R47a_G_08.D8.35.smf and that's the flash I tried. Original version was R47a_G_08.D8.85R

Cheers

The version that you require and higher ones are available at www.boot-loader.com >> Prepaid Downloads >> SmartMoto >> pcf or mfw>> V3i

In case of getting an error "Clip communication failed", while detecting the handset, please check the output of Smart-Clip power source. For stable Smart-Clip functions minimum output is 9V & 500mA. Recommended power supply is 12V & 750mA.

Some phone models use a data cable for charging. So, as soon as it gets connected to Smart-Clip it starts charging and uses about 500mA, plus Clip requires another 130-150mA.

Best Regards

Hi, Thanks for that I'll check that. I've been putting 9v into the clip so that will explain some of the problems. I went to boot loader and only saw V3i files no v3im's with the itunes. Whats the difference between pcf or mfw, does it matter which one I pick?

*.mfw - are meant to be used when the handset is connected to PC via Smart-Clip.

*.pcf – flash file to be used in PC flash mode of SmartMoto program with S-Card connected to PC USB port. No Smart-Clip is required in this case.

For more detailed information, please check SmartMoto user's manual.
