Yes... PCMCIA LPT would be a good thing to have since 99% of GSM softwares that use LPT don't work with LPT USB cable.

Can anybody confirm that this Quatech PCMCIA adaptor works with SmartClip?

I can confirm that the transdigital I bought from ebay doesn't work.

I can supply multi port *******tor connects via usb and uses external power supply, it has 1 lpt connection, 1 serial connection, 2 usb (1.1) connection, 1 rj45 10mbs connection, 1 x keyboard and 1 x mouse ps/2 connection, brand new and made by targus, price is £35 + £5 delivery, but can not guarantee it work with smart clip.

i can say that i had try all of them ,and only Quatech SPP100 work by me with smart-clip ,but only in compatibility mode(with some trick in registry)

P.s. this card need 5V , be carefull in some new laptop is only 3V in PCMCIA

transdigital card have no bidirectional, thats the reason why its not work, tested by mee too
