Smart-Moto failed unlocking A1000. Said "OK" - but it's not unlocked.

Searching for phone... found S Blank Rainbow POG, getting test interface... interface not found
Switching to flash mode... OK
Reading phone boot version... 3.10
Reading bus width... OK
Reading flash id... Intel-28F128L18B
Phone group: A1000
Hardware IMEI: 3549110.....4
Security area saved to "S Blank Rainbow POG 354.......4.pds"
Unlocking phone... OK
Phone is NOT unlocked:

What can be wrong?

Some questions first:
1. If i was not using repair cable, then it wouldn't be able to find phone?
2. Since it was able to go through succsessfully, that means that testpoint was OK?
Or would it say unlocked OK, even when i don't connect testpoint?

I had a same experience before with an A1000. Unlock it again and clean SIM contacts. Should be fine afterwards.

I'll try. But we need two persons to unlock that phone. Very hard to connect testpoints, insert battery, press to buttons, and click a mouse, all at the same time, with just two hands!

But can anyone confirm that this problem should not be related to bad testpoint, or bad cable? (if either of this was bad - it would have failed before unlocking?)

I have now unlocked the phone two more times - still not unlocked.

Can someone from Smart-clip team tell me what's wrong?

Have that ever fixed a similar problem or is that just a shot in the blind? I don't want to delete the data stored on it - so unless it's known to fix problems like this on Motorolas i don't want to do it.

check this solution, in some models is working well because i have same problem with v3x/v3i and is working well.......secure_pds_init is part of SW which cannot be removed by smart clip unlocking procedure and need to delete it manualy.......
Start MCK 1.38 and look for the file secure_pds_init in the folder -> a/mobile/system/ and delete it

this is link for MCK http://www.webalice.it/gandolfo/MCK1.38.zip

this is not my solution, and if works for you sey 10x to motox

I don't think that'll work on A1000 - it's symbian.

Ok, so A1000 is not supported on Smart-clip?

I'm really disapointed about the smart-clip. Why is it even called clip? All new phones requires Smart-moto and testpoints.

If this is the future, you better release a new USB-based device in stead. The LPT connection is REALLY annoying.

Try cleaning SIM contacts and lift each contact little bit up by using a tweezer.

Wouldn't it say "Insert SIM" if that was the problem? As far as i know, "invalid sim" is the message it says if it detects the sim, but also detects that the phone is locked and should deny that sim. In other words it's no fault.

ExTrEmE99: Ok, i'll ask the customer for permission.

If the phone is locked it will say "Enter Subsidy code" Invalid sim means the sim connector or sim is damaged. I know the sim may not be damaged but it might be the phone a reset may help but not 100% sure. Also if it says "call fail" you may have hardware problems same problem with my personal rokr i unlocked and damaged
