SMARTMOTO: strange error. after first unlock C975 ver 80i i have to exit software ... - GSM-Forum

hi
i found strange error in SmartMoto 2.16+s-card1.12

i made unlock of C975 R245_u_82.21.80i and i wanted to unlock another same C975 phone.

of course i made search phone again, phone was found and interfeace was found
in prepare section loader was send to phone and when software read backup smartmoto dispaly error: backup failed.

i try again, and again always "backup failed" (search then prepare)
then i exit software and run again and prepare + unlock was successuf.

i try make another phone r245 with 91i version, and.... same "backup error" i exit somartmoto, run again and all operation was made OK. in that way i made some other C975 91i but allways by exiting and run software again.

strange thing. anyway this is not a problem, i will now remember "allways exit and run software again" but if this is not a big problem maybe smartmoto coder can fix it.

i wrote this for any other users who have problem like this:
"backup error" or
(i made today only some C975) Unlocking phone... "Prepare phone" operation failed - error 9B -

just exit smartmoto after each unlock/prepare/flash operation or if any error will be displayed be software.

thanks Smart-moto TEAM for this really good upgrade, now we can make 91i !

@ PSG,

everything should work properly. Make sure that The phone Powered on (not in boot mode) when you perform "Prepare Cycle".

i mean that the phone shouldn't be in boot mode.

no phone is only powered on, not in boot mode.

run software unlock first C975 all OK, connect another powered ON C975, search->found->read interfeace->OK .... Prepare section: prepare phone-> sending boot OK-> read backup -> backup FAILED - exit software run again: phone powered on not in boot mode, search->found->read interfeace->OK prepare: prepare phone OK, unlock or unlock via patch OK but without exit software i can't make another phone via prepare/unlock method

anyway this is not a big problem

just exit software and run again for each phone

R245_U_82.21.80I is a very strange firmware version...

You couldn't upload any langpack from diffrent version bec ause if You do it or downgrade the Boot-Loader You'll get an Error 0x01EF (or something like that) on the screen and if You kill the phone You must flash it into 91I with checked option of Boot Overwrite and then patch unlock.

Try to Fix it Smart-Clip team, because MSS 4 Victor does it great. What's more Smart-Clip with S-Card gives an error while reading flash-backup in prepare cycle...
