What happens when you update card first instead of updating smart-clip?

I'd like to know, because I by mistake did that, now s-card won't work, I even formatted my computer and reinstalled my OS to start anew and smart-clip active X program doesn't recognize the s-card, and the updater says "cannot find any valid s-card".
I e-mailed several times to support, but they alway come with answers like "download and reinstall again", "reinstall OS", "send full log", "follow step by step", "try different computers", etc. I did all that already, and told them so, but they keep saying the same stuff over and over again.
Ok, will someone answer:

1.- Could that mistake possibly mess with the card and leave it usseless?
2.- Is it possible to fix it?

Serial number is not readable, at least not with the s-card updater.

At this times I fell good I have a backup.

The thing is, that S-Card can not be updated without having a Smart-Clip updated to the latest version. So, it could not mess up your Card.

Did your dongle ever get detected properly? What USB port did you connect it to? Did you use a HUB?

It was detected as a Schlumberger smart card, my OS says it's working fine, and it's connected to a PC port, not a hub.
Actually I have removed and reinstalled everything, even my OS, and get same results.

My serial is not readable, when I connect the s-card updater it will just say "cannot find any valid s-card" and the serial box in the program is empty.

My guess is this is a faulty card.

It was a faulty card, I bought another one and works just fine.
Probably the card was empty or burnt.
