Question What smartmoto flash files to use?? - Very confusing on bootloader.com

We need a list of the Motorola flashfiles to know what they are. Otherwise it is all trial and error to find the flashfile that is really wanted.

For example; I want a generic flashfile for a Motorola E1000. bootloader.com has lots to choose from, but which is the generic? I tried E1000_U_80.3F.63.00.05P - but this turned out to be a Three-Australia branded flashfile.

There is NO information as to what the flashfiles are other than their version numbres.

Perhaps I am missing something - does a listing exist anywhere to find out details about the flashfiles?

For my particular problem at the moment - can anyone recommend a generic E1000 flashfile available from bootloader.com??

File is branded if it has any word that could mean a brand name and it's located in sub catalogue like Vodafone.
Example:
E1000_U_80.3F.63.00.03P/Vodafone/E1000_U_80.3F.63.00.03P_lp0039_full_flash.smf - branded

E1000_U_80.3F.63.00.03P/E1000_U_80.3F.63.00.03P_lp0032_full_flash.smf - unbranded.

Thanks for the info, that is useful.

The Australian H3 branded E1000 file was not in a specific directory and had the exact filename that I gave, so there was no suggestion of branding and I only found out after the lengthy re-flash process.

In the end I have managed to de-brand with a Flex file only (and another software tool - not Smartmoto), and that did exactly what I wanted. The handset was back to Motorola factory spec 100%

How come no Flex files on the bootloader.com (or are they somewhere I have not seen/looked)?

Reflash file is meant to be used for changing the version of the SW & all additional data (pictures, sounds etc...) will stay in the phone.
But in your case is better to use *full_flash.smf.
