if you want a free (risky/unreliable) solution to flashing your phone you are posting in the wrong forum section. maybe your solution can be found in the general sony ericsson section. good luck! --Corey | |

Member: 36070 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Same here I did the same, bought 3 credits at £8 each, unlocked OK but found WAP settiings from Vodafone to be read-only. Updated firmware using unbranded "P910i_R4E001_EU-EMEA-APAC_Upgrade-Debrand_Firmware.AVR " (produced no change on phone), then tried the R5B SYM, LNG and RLF. Returned error 28230 and 28211 after RLF, but said checksum OK. Then locked up. Notices that versaion 2.20 is now available, wonder if it fixes anything. Got no response to emails. Argh!!! |

Member: 295216 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I also have a debranding problem (the same one?) First I flashed (with Flash Menu) P910i_R4E001_EU-EMEA-APAC_Upgrade-Debrand_Firmware.AVR Then I flashed (with pda menu) P910i_R5B01_EU-EMEA-APAC_Symbian.SYM EMEA-APAC_NL_FR_DE_EL_TR.LNG EMEA-APAC_Rolf_File.RLF I got no errors. 2 Credits were used in total. I turned on my phone, and it still boots up with Orange and the custom menu and all the other branding. I wrote an email for support at gsmlogs.net. Waiting to hear back. |

Member: 36070 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Update, tried v2.20 Was given credit to try again under v2.20 (Thanks)... All checksums verified OK and a Success message after the download Took out battery, replaced, powered on and Vodafone welcom ditty played Upon full boot, the phone had not lost any of its information or anything I wonder if there is a missing step at the end of the process? Master reset required or should a power off do the trick? It is almost as if it is going through the motions, simulating the process rather than doing it for real. No Debug flag or something left in the software ??? HELP (Please) |

Member: 295216 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Yup. Exactly what happened with me. It went through the motions, but remains branded afterwards. I also used 2.20. I'm still awaiting a reply from totalmultiserver (gsmlogs.net) and the reseller (cellcorner.com). I hope this can be resolved. |

Member: 36070 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Tried master reset just in case... As the instructions for unbranding the P910i found from the link at...www.terminatordongle.com specifies a master reset at the end if nothing has changed, I tried that. Still Vodafone'd. Ahh well, just need to wait for the Guru's to find out whats happening with P910i flashing. Happy to help debug if required ???? Cheers, Dave. |

Member: 344251 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | unbranding p910i failure hi, i'm having the same problem - unlock P910i went fine, but flashing P910i_R4E001_EU-EMEA-APAC_Upgrade-Debrand_Firmware.AVR P910i_R5B01_EU-EMEA-APAC_Symbian.SYM EMEA-APAC_NL_FR_DE_EL_TR.LNG EMEA-APAC_Rolf_File.RLF didn't work - phone is still branded, even after master reset (btw - when i read "master reset", i'm assuming a "reset factory presets" is meant, or is this something different? if yes, how do i do a "master reset"? ;-)) please advise, thanks, thomers (username: gsmsoft4564) |
