Problem with S310 and o2

I had an S310 for unlock. When I tried an o2 sim card the phone flashed on and off. It was OK with all other test sim cards.
I unlocked it and still had the same problem.
I flashed the phone with S310 Lang Pack and still have the same problem.
The phone flashes on and off with 2 different o2 sim cards. It is OK with all other cards.
The customer wants to use it with o2?

Just tried it with my own o2 Pay Monthly sim and it's OK. Screen flashes on and off only with o2 PAYG cards?

I doubt it's PAYG related, more like the type of gold card they've used for the sim card and the positioning of the contacts. (Old Gemplus sim cards were nasty things in a quite a few phones).

Check gold area of your PAYG sim cards to your sim card, they will probably be different then check your customer's sim card in the phone if it's different as it may work.

My Pay Monthly Sim card is the oldest one. It's a Gemplus. Phone works OK with that one.

The PAYG sim cards are more recent. One is a normal size the other one I cut down to test Micro-Sim phones. I tested the Micro-Sim card with an adapter. They both cause the phone screen to flash.

Both Sim Cards work fine in all other phones.

I installed a new language pack and did a factory reset. Screen still flashes with o2 PAYG sim cards.

Is there anything else I can try?
