Problem with smart card !!! Assistance required :) - GSM-Forum

hello
I needed to use vygis box and when I connected the smartcard to usb, I noticed that the blue led wasn't blinkin'. Windows doesn't recognize it anymore (I allready reinstalled Windows and all the drivers) and it "says" something like : "unknown device" ...
I bought Vygis from Gobi, but he is in vacation ... so .. he's phone is off, I mailed him but i'm sure that he couldn't read his mail since he is in vacation... I also mailed Mr. Vygis but he didn't answered me ...
please tell me what happened ? is my smartcard "dead" and I need to replace it ?

I doubt your smart card is dead.
why dont you open the smart card carrier, remove the card, and re-insert it again.
This thread could reinstate your warranty (if any)

Hi, i am back

- Open the dongle, clean the smartcard contacts and assembly it back.

Please: DON'T DAMMAGE MY SEAL ON THE SMARTCARD, inside the dongle.

- If this don't help, try to install also in another PC since i had situations where other USB-drivers , like SST was making the VygisToolbox Schlumberger dongle drivers unusable (till i removed that drivers from that pc)

- Last solution if it will still and still not work, then you will have to send the dongle to your reseller (uuups, this is me

), and i will check and solve the problem.

I will be again avaiable on phone and in my bussiness office the day after tomorrow.

my smartcard is ALIVE !!!!!!!!!!

I only needed to open the smartcard case an close the card's "door" .
