Cannot get a signal on D900i after flashing / unlocking using NSpro

Hi

I just unlocked and flashed a Samsung D900i using NS Pro

However, the phone no longer detects a signal when turned on any network.

Apparently it can be fixed by doing eeprom and then a full flash, although it requires a .nsf file, as well as the flash files, I have the flash files(the EEPROM file isn't .nfs format...), I've looked around quite a lot and lots of forums, but can't seem to find these file types.

Also EEPROM apparently changes the IMEI, which is illegal in UK, how would I change it back to original IMEI?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind regards
Sam

1. download D900i eeprom file from NsPro support area (yes is .nsf format)
2. write eeprom on the phone
3. write back the original IMEI on the phone

The phone will be fine.

no need to flash the phone after writing eeprom.

PS.
Is impossible to damage the network settings by unlocking the phone with nspro.
If nspro had such problems then many other peoples had the same problem.
But as you can see, only you have this problem.
So there is something wrong with that phone. not with NsPro software.

Ok, I'll give it a go.
But the phone was working and unlocked before. I was just updating the firmware.

You say:
"If nspro had such problems then many other peoples had the same problem."

I never accused NSpro of anything, infact in your PS message you mentioned it not me, I was just saying what happened, FYI many people have had this problem, in which I think you've replied to some, I've google searched it, and this is why I said what I said about EEPROM etc...
If it need be, I'll link you to people having the same problem with the D900i.

Anyway, I've tried it, the EEPROM file might be a .nfs but when clicking browse via NSPro, you have to select "All files, to view the EEPROM file" (Not .nfs option) as at least windows does not recognise the file as an extention of .nfs. So to someone expecting the file to be recognised as a .nfs file, don't...

It successfully uploaded the file etc etc, however now it's changed the IMEI to a bunch of 0's

I have tried to write the original one back, which it says complete, but it doesn't actually restore it.

After change lang in D900i imei is not correct in phone .
Write eeprom in phone , write original imei but imei is not correct many times .
After this write again correct imei in phone and *2767*3855# .
After restart phone the imei is correct .

It seem's so many people are having this problem.

This is my story.
1. unlock/flash, disables phone from receiving signal.
2. doing above suggestions with eemprom, removes imei.
3. writing ORIGINAL IMEI does not actually write, (Although some people have managed to get it back.)
4. phone has no imei and picks no signal (My case) with some others peoples it shows imei after writing, but no signal.)

Is it possible that it's down to the software, I'm using the latest beta 5.0 version of NSpro, so I could download flash files.
Perhaps I should downgrade, although if the above suggestions work on the previous versions of NSpro? Then surely it should on the beta?
or the firmwares? (Although I've tried the latest one and the original one)

Right....
I've got the original IMEI number back, thank ***.
I had to use an old version of NSpro software. 4.10

However the phone is back to the original problem, of still not detecting signal.
I've tried everything mentioned, in my forum, and several others.

But still unable to fix....

Hmm,

Well I tried with this version too. I had to rollback to 4.1 for restoring the original IMEI. (Which worked)
But neither 4.1 or 4.3.1 work for fixing the d900i no service issue, so the phone is now basically a mp3 player and camera, has no phone function.

So does anyone know how to fix this issue then?

I fixed it, using the instructions above.

BUT.

The reason it failed first few dozen times is due to the file name of the EEPROM, it was named D900i.nsf, or something like that, I got it from the support site of the NSpro.
I then tried the EEPROM from this site which was named D900i eeprom.nsf and that did the trick, just the name of the file type, I've probably solved this headache for hundreds of people now, just rename the file or get it from this site.

This is why windows would not recognise the file either, when using the one from NSPRO site, windows would not show it on the drop down menu under .nsf, I had to tell it to show "all files" with the file from this site, it shows it under .nfs files.

GREAT

I can't believe this 13 hours of none stop fiddling around just for a flipping name change of a file.

To my next question, how do you get download access to flash files for NSPro without using the latest version of the software...?
