F488 flash with F480 firmware - GSM-Forum

Hi, I have a phone under battery SGH-F480 when turning on: on the screen appears as F488 but thouch screen doesn't work and language is Chenise? Would it be posible that some one before me flash it with wrong version? I have downloaded latest F480 firmware tried to flash but now the phone freezes when starting....what to do next? flassh bootloader? which firmware should I flash the phone 488 or 480?

flash the bootloder 1st then flash with f480 firmware...

flashed the phone, the phone starts no problem but the thouch screen still doesn't work what could be the reason?

flash it with F488ZHHJ1 or higher version. problem will be resolved. tested.

Can I ask you something, are you Chinese? Because I'm not and can't read menu on chinese,( that what happened when I flash with F488ZHHJ1 all menu of the phone on chinese) Anyway problem not solved the thouch screen still doesn't work.....

touchpanel is a hardware problem. Not a software problem.

Thank you Mr. Elco for useful advice, I know now it's wrong section I have to post it in hardware but is that thouch screen panel changeable ( I mean without soldrering) and where to find it?
