How to solve USB port not working properly after a power exceded.

Windows, after the service pack 2, is a quite hyperprotective with the usb ports.
May happen, after a exceded power limit on one port, this one stop working properly and you get a unknown peiferals when you try to use it.
If is not physically broken you can have it back,: how?
a) Right click on My Computer
b) Properties
c) Hardware
d) Device manager
e) Universal serial bus controllers
f) Right click on Intel/via PCI to USB Universal Host Controller
g) Uninstall
h) OK
i) on top, same windows, click on Action
j) Scan for hardware changes

Ok, now windows will find again the controller and the port will be working again
if you have more than on controller repeat the points f/g/h for all the controllers

If you are sure about your usb periferals and don't want any more this problem:
do again all the points up to letter e
f) click on Intel/via PCI to USB Universal Host Controller
g) Advanced
h) Don't tell me about usb errors

repeat this tre points for all the controllers you have

Have a nice job
Alex
