Member: 326919 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | 6270 dead after failed flash... can't revive. Help! It went through a few steps, including verifying communication "1 to 30" and "1 to 80". It seemed odd that it was having to "verify communication" this much. Sure enough, after it counted to 80, the flashing failed, and my phone is dead. I think the problem is the CA-53 cable I was using to flash. It doesn't sit in the phone very securely, and I think the connection was flaky. I've borrowed a DKU-2 cable from a friend that fits much more securely. I've been trying to do the "dead phone" flashing in Phoenix, but haven't had any luck. Here's as far as I've gotten: I press the power button, and windows recognizes some new hardware (a USB ROM device or something). But, instead of continuing to work, I get another failure. A dialog box says: Code: Flashing Failed: 0x84009427(-2080336857) - Unable to get error message. Do you like to retry flashing? Code: Cmt->Failed to send config command to bootcode Code: Cmt->Failed to send ULO 84009427 Edit: Some thorough searching reveals that this problem might be caused because this particular firmware package (RM-56 3.69) may not have support for dead flashing. Does anyone know whether this package supports dead flashing or not? If not, can I do the "dead flashing" part with another package, say the 7370's, then do the real flashing with my RM-56 package?
