6630 MMC from 64MB but only shows 30MB - GSM-Forum

Hi,

I have a problem here with a 6630.
Phone is new from and is with original MMC 64MB from nokia, but when I check memory in the phone shows, capacity = 30MB.

I formatted it already but still the same. I have here other phones here without problems...

Any tip?

it´s a default card, buy another.

Hi,

Ok I believe it´s a defeative card, but surely won´t buy another. It´s new and came with a new phone. Nokia must exchange it, or solve the problem.

I´ll give more news later.

Ok, went to the shop and because I was known by an employee he exchanged the MMC for a real 64MB.

Because the procedure for all normal clients, is that a new MMC card would be sent at home in next 30 days. I guess I had luck to know an employee.

For what he told me, Vodafone Portugal had been having problems with this matter, however other network (Optimus PT) doesn´t seem to have that problem. Anyway, is a Nokia cards bug.

PS: Meanwhile I was there, seen 4 6630 returned because of blured camera. He also told me, that is a common problem these days.
