Here some useful tips on using the logger, to prevent having dead phones.

1. When you press 'Read Phone' and 'Make Log', the first thing - open the
backup directory and copy the back up file to different directory.

2. If need to restore backup, and after pressing WR Backup, you get success,
but phone condition is not restored, just covert the backup file to normal pm
file and upload with your favorite flasher or just DKU-2 cable.
Generally 8 out of 10 times you will have success, but nothing will be uploaded.

Converting to normal PM:

1. Open backup with WinHex, select all, copy hex values
2. Create New Text Document, rename to xxx.pm, open and put this:

[308]
1=

3. Paste the copied values after the '=' in the file.
4. Save file
5. Upload with any flasher to restore the phone

Regards

WinHex?????
where i can find this program?

Start loger.
Once connected phone by FBUS interface to PC, press "Read Phone" button.
If everything is ok, some data will be readed and displayed, otherwise check
your connection, phone, cables, etc.

If logger shows message "SP Data IS corrupted" than you have phone that
somebody played with it and destroyed field 308,1. So, you have to fix
that field by sending that phone to official NOKIA repair centre!!!

If everything is OK you can press "Make Log" button.
LOGER will create backup of field 308,1 and try to make LOG file.
In that proces, some time field 308,1 can be corruted which can be checked
by clicking again on "Read Phone" button.

NOW, if logger shows message "SP Data IS corrupted" than you just have
to click several times "WR Backup" and "Read Phone" to check that is your
phone is OK.

Ok, I keep trying with this N70, and there is no way to repair it.

I tried to connect it with the phone in test mode, but with no success. The software will not find any phone, so I can't write back up in this mode.

There is no way that it comes back with SP data correct.

I have also tried the Bph&Co, but JAF hungs up while writing the PM, although I can read the full PM correctly.

What else can I try?
