It is true that the phones 6630,6680,n70,n90,etc.. works with its bundled cable like ca-53 or dku-2. we can use it in pc suite, file transfer, phonebook management, etc... It is also true that dku5/ca42 cable is meant to be used for models like 3220, 6070, 7210, 3200, etc... These models uses the dku5/ca42 thru it's pop port which is connected to the pc via fbus.

But since we are going to use dejan's bb5 unlocker, we are required to have a port to work with and will work with fbus. dku2/ca53 is usb and if you will open it up, you will only see wires inside and no chip/ic. Dku-5/ca-42 is a USB to serial converter. it has a chip/ic inside the usb cable. Since it is a USB to serial converter, it has an assigned COM Port. This is why we need a dku5/ca42 cable, in order for dejan's software to connect to the com port (may it be virtual or physical).

Now with regards to the error Enhancement not supported, this is an error of the phone saying something like that your cable is not fit to use for this phone. But like i said since we are going to unlock the phone we will of course ignore this error. By the way, please remove the simcard when trying to unlock.

hi, thanks for the info but i cant ignore the enhancement not supported problem because when i press read phone or wirte backup it brings an error message quoting check FBUS cable etc. isnt there anythin else that i can do, thanks

hi all i have unlocked many many many fones since 12 may and had no problems at all with a simple data cable ppl who get errors check you pc's iam sure you have problem in your windows

I have got 2 cables.

first one is a dku5 usb cable (I forgot its a serial. sorry for that)
second one is another dku5 cable with a DB-9 connector.

I have been reading through the posts in this thread and other threads relating to Dejan's BB5 unlocker. Forum members are now awaiting the full BB5 unlock solution from Dejan. If I was in Dejans position, you would never get it! In fact, you wouldn't have even got the partial solution - let me explain why.

I have been a member of this forum since 2004. In the past 2-3 years I have witnessed forum members call Dejan down and questioning his ability. I hold my hands up and admit that I was myself one of these forum members, and I can only offer my heartfelt apologies to Dejan for any bad comments I have made in the past - I was wrong because Dejan has now proved all of his critics wrong. Be honest, would you have been so forgiving after all the stick he has had to put up with?

The irony of all this is that quite a number of those members who judged Dejan in the past now post comments like "you are the best Dejan' and 'Dejan is king" - reminds me of a ******** chant - "you only sing when you're winning". To some forum members Dejan was the devil a year ago, and now he is g o d! Isn't it amazing how a simple gift can change someones perspective?

I thank you Dejan for your wonderful gift to our community, and I do hope that you share the remainder of your hard work with this community, however I can't say I would blame you if you stuck two fingers up to the lot of us!

anyway, I have allready tried with 4x 6630 and 8x 6680 and none of them come out unlocked. These are all Vodafone locked phones.

I have done everything now 666 times and by the book.
I can start the program, I can succesfully Read Phone.
Program then shows my IMEI's, status as locked and so on...
BUT
Everytime I press Make Log (have tried to jump to SP Unlock few times also), I get this BAD CONNECTION! Error

What can I do?
Port speed wrong or what??

Still having the problem after doing so many things.........

odgovarajuci kod!

Ukoliko ste dobili od Vaseg provajdera unlock kod a istrosili ste sva tri pokusaja
unosa koda preko tastature, uradite sledece:

U direktorijumu "c:\bb5_unlocker\psw" kreirajte fajl "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa_BB5.psw"
gde je "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" IMEI telefona.
U tako kreiranom fajlu, upisite na samom pocetku fajla "#pw+bbbbbbbbbbbbbbb+c#"
gde je "bbbbbbbbbbbbbbb" SP unlock kod a "c" redni broj koda (1-7)
Snimite fajl, i upotrebite "SP UNLOCK" funkciju.

Logger works for BB5 with rap3g v2.11 to v2.20.
Calculator works for any BB5 phone, but....

And don't forget that best things comes from SERBIA.
