YES its not only 3110C,all nokia show logo and power off(caused of damage data) can be repaired by flashing only cnt,or simply do full format of c and d using any interface,jaf,cyclone,mt....,tested by me many times,so its not necessery to full flash the phone

CNT Flashing is possible only when you know current firmware version installed in phone.

Full flashing is safer than only CNT flashing.

a little tip with mx-key:

1. open mobileEX and go to nokia service tool
2. select generation BB5
3.goto service tab
4. open quick fix tab.
5. tick BB5 software downgrade fix
6. click do selected jobs.

no can't u have to flash with 7.21 cntfile or use downgrade option and full flash with 5.50
