new n80, just unlocked... only in offline mode - GSM-Forum

Hi, I have brand new Nokia n80 locked that has been locked to Orange UK. I have unlocked it with allgsmunlcok server and sim restrictions is removed. Now phone is stucked in offline mode. When I hard reset phone (* 3 green pow_but) phone displays like it is in general, but there is no network. When I try to change network manualy, he say that phone is in offline mode.
I have try to do nokia software update .. but software say.. that general profile must be selected.
I have tryed with 5 differend SIM cards, form differend operators

Software version is V 4.0623.0.42 RM-92

And one more question, is there way to flash this phone with USB cable taht is came with phone. If it is possible.. please.. tell me where I can read more about it...

Hehe... found this on some forum, and i'm suprised that this work!

1. *#7370#
2. Set network/ operator selection to Automatic
3. Set mode to pager
4. Switched off
5. Connected to charger
6. Switched back on
7. Set to mode to general

if any one see not work this solution then replace sim glass IC u r problem will be solved

just format ur phone on HWK

i think delchoni is right,
have u checked it before unlocking??, have u try with different sim-card || u
trying just one ??
if u unlocked it by code, try to re-solder glass static-discharge filter chip,
if does not help -replace ic, at lest send it to nokia to get repaired under
guarantee -u will get it back unlocked

theres no ic for simcard in n80

-yes, everything id integrated in to "VILMA" chip
so if it's not sim-try, u did resolder board(vilma) then u need to replace chip
